I spent 5 days at the Maine International Film Festival and presented p.s. beirut 4 times! Twice with Ellen Kuras' NERAKHOON and twice with Matt Wolf's WILD COMBINATION: A STORY OF ARTHUR RUSSELL.

For the first screening Matt was there with Arthur's parents, sisters and boyfriend, Tom Lee. It was an emotional event. Ellen could not make it to her screenings but her turtle spirit was there. Even Jeffrey Lewis was there at the festival! And Ned Richardson, producer/lightblack, came for a couple of our screenings.

The turtle in Maine was the programming of NERAKHOON, WILD COMBINATION, TALKING GUITARS by Claire Pijman (there with her partner Sven and their three kids Kite, Luna and Carmel), EMPIRE II by Amos Poe and CHARLY by Isild Le Besco who also was there! I am happy and exhausted! Until next year... Maine, you are wonderful!!!
